Friday Morning

Fossatún, where we spent our second night was a comfortable, crazy place with a little something for everyone.  There were camp sites, motel like buildings, the guesthouse ( we had room 1), and a restaurant plus a playground and a miniature golf course.  On the extensive property there were random play areas, a trampoline, a hot tub, and walking paths.  There are great views of a river and low waterfalls in one direction and a lake in another.  Unfortunately, the guest house we stayed in was placed where we could not see either one.  Rumors have it the land - previously a farm- is populated by trolls.  Some appear to have been captured and encased in a clear polymer and placed on exhibit.

Trolls and gremlins oh my!

Art got a bit to close to one.

Mary was taking no chances and pledged her allegiance to the Troll queen

What do you call a troll up to his neck in sand?

The dawn broke cloudy and only got worse as the day went on.  By the middle of the afternoon it was raining pretty hard and we proved once again that there is no bad weather, only bad clothing.  Fortunately, we had the right rain gear plus hats and gloves.  The forecast calls for snow at least one day when we will be in the north

Giant chess set outside the restaurant.

Wild flowers among the trolls.

On the way out of town.  Our GPS preferred gravel roads ans dicey looking one lane bridges.

Horses grazing by the river.  Horse steak was on the menu at dinner last night.

Now we know we are out of Dodge!
