Sunday - Waterfalls and other points of interest in the Westfjords

We drove from Breidavik to Bjarnardalur though the breathtaking scenery of the Westfjords.

Along the way we hiked around successively more impressive waterfalls.

Waterfall along the route 63

Hiked up to the top of the waterfall visable from the road, and discovered another one.

Water fall along highway 60.  Water was flowing through the remainder of a snow cave.

We met Bob and Margaret from Vancouver on the ferry, and crossed paths with them twice today at 2 different waterfalls.

Another smaller waterfall along route 60.  A couple set up chairs and a table to have lunch and enjoy the scenery while we were there.

Dynjandi along route 60 ... the big one!

Rainbow in the mist

Small ferns growing at the top of the falls

Swimming pool in the middle of nowhere!

Lovely small church in Bíldudalur, right next to the Sea Monster Museum.

Guesthouse Kirkjubol in Bjarnardalur

A shoe walk to the beach
