Random observations

Random observations from our trip...

Bathroom sinks are very small.  This one is larger than some.

Hand towels have loops used to hang them from hooks.

Shower controls are pretty cool ... Adjust temperature on the right and volume on the left.

Beds have a separate coverlet for each occupant.  No more stealing covers!

If the name on the place you are staying includes 'Guesthouse' there will be a kitchen where you can prepare your own food.  This a much less expensive way to eat in Iceland, even if you don't buy the food at a discount grocery store.

Buying gas is a complex operation until you know the ropes ... and the pin to your credit card.

We had to pay to use the facilities at Dimmuborgir visitor center.  First you pay - and you could pay with a credit card - and get a ticket.

Then you scan the ticket in the green laser and you can go through the turn style.

Cars need a daily shower too.  Fortunately, most gas stations are accommodating!

Can't get used to doors to the outside infamy buildings that open in instead of out.  In this case, this was the volt egress from the building.
