Tuesday Leaving Westfjords for North Iceland

'We had a lovely walk this morning across the hay fields near Bogur Country Lodge

We had yet another day of panoramic views from the top of the mountains to the bottom to the valleys with the landscape transitioning from rugged, barren and wild to low vegetation with a variety of wild flowers and larger farms.  We saw our first field that looked like a crop but we cold not get close enough to identify it.  All of the other fields were hay.

Along the way, we tried to find the Mana waterfall.  We attempted several different routes - even backtracking twice and entering the Geo coordinates into the GPS - but we we unable to locate the trail head and finally gave up.  We did find a lovely secluded lake and stopped for lunch - at least we thought it was until two cars with French tourists joined us.

At our destination for the night, Bakkaflöt Cottages, we were greeted by a family of what appeared to be Guinea hens.

We took a short hike after checking in.  Once again the vistas were beautiful, and we even saw a few wild flowers.

The road ended at a farm ith a guard horse

There was a playground area by the river and an obstacle course with water pits and ropes and then there were these structure. Anybody have any idea what these could be for?

Part of the obstacle course on the property.
