Today we traveled from Stykkisholmur to Breidavík via Látrabjarg.
The ferry ride from Stykkisholmur to Brjánslækur was lovely although there was quite a strong wind. The Breidafjördur Bay Area of the Atlantic is filled with small islands and rocky areas. The ferry passed quite close to some.
Leaving Stykkisholmur
One of the many rocky areas
A quick stop on Flatly Island with much impoved weather which stayed with us for the day.
Landfall near Brjánslækur. The vegetation in the parts of the Westfjords that we have seen thus far is close to the ground - moss and grasses with a few wild flowers. It is rather stark and rough looking.
